Director of the Tourism Crisis Management Initiative

Lori Pennington-Gray, Ph.D., is the Director of the Tourism Crisis Management Initiative at the University of Florida, as well as a Professor in the Department of Tourism, Recreation, and Sport Management. Her research uses a “systems approach” to understand both demand-side and supply-side issues related to tourism. A primary focus of her research is tourism crisis management and how destinations respond to crises. Lori has been involved with a number of tourism studies globally and has worked with a number of countries on tourism policy initiatives.
