Ashley Schroeder, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, as well as the Managing Director of the Tourism Crisis Management Initiative at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on proactive tourism crisis management from supply and demand perspectives. On the supply side, her focus has been on comprehensive tourism crisis management, risk management, destination resilience, and collaborative networks. On the demand side, her focus has been on understanding the perceptions, attitudes, intentions, and behaviors of tourists in times of real and perceived crisis.
