Andrew Peters, Ph.D., is a Wurundjeri/Yorta Yorta man and Lecturer in both Indigenous Studies and Tourism at Swinburne University, Melbourne. He recently earned his Ph.D. with a dissertation that looked at contemporary impacts on indigenous identity, including education, sports, and tourism. Andrew has received a number of awards for outstanding contributions to indigenous education through local cultural knowledge. His tourism research has investigated issues such as undergraduate curriculum development, community consultation processes, development of indigenous entrepreneurship, and concepts of traditional indigenous knowledges in contemporary settings.
